Two shell designs combine for cohesive acoustical system
Certifications:
Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, Minnesota, prides itself in offering a variety of music, art and theater opportunities for students to explore. To enhance the school’s performance space, an elaborate acoustical shell system was installed in 2019. Unlike typical acoustical shell installments, Southwest Christian High School features a combination of shells – two Bravado® Acoustical Ceiling Panels and nine Aria™ Acoustical Towers – for a truly unique space. Together, the shells form a specialized system that is functional, user-friendly and complies with spacing restrictions within the auditorium. Its practical, lightweight design also makes it easy for students to maneuver. In addition to the acoustical shell combination, an orchestra pit filler – comprised of classic SC90 platforms with a painted Plyron mill finish – creates a seamless look for the school stage.
