Custom trap system optimizes storage space beneath symphony stage

The largest performing arts venue in Charleston, South Carolina, The Gaillard Center is an elegant, world-class space that brings cultural programing and popular performances to area residents and visitors. To optimize the usable space beneath its stage, Sightline Commercial Solutions equipped the Center with a stage trap and cockpit platforming in time for its grand opening concert in 2015 featuring acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. The project was part of a three-year renovation designed to modernize the outdated and acoustically imperfect auditorium.
