Dubbed by the Mayor of Louisville as “your new Kentucky home,” the OMNI Louisville Hotel added more than 600 hotel rooms and 225 luxury apartments to Louisville’s growing downtown area, making the 30-story building the tallest and most luxurious hotel in the city. Labeled as the most significant project in downtown Louisville since the KFC Yum! Center, this 1.2 million-square-foot project also includes a grocery store, two restaurants, a spa and fitness center, a gaming area, and an 850-space parking deck. Like its counterparts in Nashville and Dallas, the OMNI Louisville aims to reshape River City’s hospitality scene, attracting larger conventions with 70,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and the Kentucky Convention Center situated just down the road. Sightline Commercial Solutions provided nearly 2,000 linear feet of architectural railing for the project, including guardrail, handrail and picket rail, along with gating and a custom-designed Smoke Baffle system in the lobby and lower-level art gallery to protect against the spread of smoke. Complementing the hotel’s sleek design, custom glass guardrail lines the lobby escalator and surrounds the rooftop pool to optimize sightlines of Louisville’s surrounding cityscape.
