For more than 50 years, the After Dinner (A.D.) Players theater company has been a mainstay of Houston’s performing arts scene. In 2017, the company built a new 35,000-square-foot facility in The Galleria, Houston’s largest shopping center, which more than doubled the seating capacity of its previous theater. To ensure its first production, To Kill a Mockingbird, set the stage for continued success in the years ahead, the facility enlisted Sightline Commercial Solutions to supply an orchestra pit filler, adding flexibility for increased performance space. Designed to look and feel like a permanent stage, the platforms and supports hidden beneath the pit creates a seamless look while allowing faster and easier changeovers between scenes or performances.
