The East Texas Symphony Orchestra, which performs out of a home base at The University of Texas at Tyler’s R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center, has played a vital role in the cultural life of Tyler and the surrounding region since 1936. To address two primary issues – the need for better acoustics and more storage – Sightline Commercial Solutions supplied the Center with a custom Bravado® Acoustical Shell. The state-of-the-art system consists of mobile towers and ceiling panels made of curved surfaces specifically designed to reflect sound energy towards the audience to create a resounding audial experience for both the audience and performers.
